Sgian Dubh with pewter celtic design handle crowned with amber colour glass stone. Stainless steel blade and rigid pewter tipped sheath.
Presented in a sturdy gift box.
The Sgian Dubh originates from the Highland dagger. From the Iron Ages it developed into the Drover's knife and then Gralloch knife.
Many claim Sgian Dubh means "black knife", but it would be more accurate to say "dark knife”, a covert dagger. Originally carried and recognised in Highland martial culture. During the 18th century it would be concealed beneath clothing, today the Sgian Dubh is worn tucked into the cuff of your hose, secured in place by the flash garter.
